In this episode, Danno reveals who the British tabloids hired him to target in LA.
These included celebrities such as Spice Girls singer Mel B, footballer David Beckham and pop singer Michael Jackson.
He also explains how he was hired to locate and target victims of tragedies, inlcuding the widows of victims of the 9/11 World trade centre attacks.
TRANSCRIPT
JC: Hello again. I’m talking to Danno still and finding out about how the British tabloids were very interested in people in L.A. which is where you live and work. Tell us some names.
DH: Oh, I got Mel B from the Spice Girls. I found out that she was married at the time. They claimed she was dating somebody else. David Beckham moved to Los Angeles to be on the LA team. They wanted to know not everything just about him and his wife, but all of his neighbours, the neighbourhood he was moving into. So they could go interview those people. “What’s it like to have David Beckham in the neighbourhood?” Always Michael Jackson. I mean, I had Michael Jackson under surveillance for the last 30 days of his life. They were trying to find out who his psychiatrist was because he was coming to visit. I mean, they would give me so many names. My celebrity file takes up two terabytes, which is a lot of data on a hard drive.
JC: Mostly show biz? What else?
DH: You know, it’s not just show biz. There’s tragedies that happen. When the space shuttle crashed in Texas.
JC: Yeah.
DH: They wanted me to locate all of the widows and people that were related to this space shuttle. You know, they’re going to swoop on them and get their information. When 9/11 happened, they wanted me to locate all the widows from the 9/11 tragedy.
JC: You forget that… Because I always think in terms of celebrities, but ordinary people are of interest, Only if they’ve been a victim.
DH: Or breaking news.
